API reference

Base URL, auth, conventions

  • Base URL: https://api.bravoecho.ai/v1
  • Auth: Authorization: Bearer $BRAVOECHO_KEY on every request.
  • JSON in, JSON out. Content-Type: application/json.
  • Times: RFC 3339 in UTC with a trailing Z, everywhere. Never local time.
  • Units: latitude and longitude in decimal degrees (WGS-84), altitude in metres (the flight object also takes feet and flight levels, see Flight object), alert limits in nautical miles (hal_nm), protection levels in both metres and NM. Airport and navaid reference data keeps the operational units: elevations and runway dimensions in feet, COM frequencies in MHz, navaid frequencies in kHz.
  • Health: GET https://api.bravoecho.ai/up returns 200 when the API is up. Use it in a smoke test.
  • CORS: none. The API is for servers; see "Server-side only" above.
  • MCP: an agent that speaks the Model Context Protocol can use https://api.bravoecho.ai/mcp with the same key instead of writing a client. See MCP below.
