METAR and TAF for developers
This is a guide to aviation weather reports and forecasts, and how BravoEcho turns them into well-structured data.

METARs describe the current weather at an airport; TAFs forecast it for the hours ahead. Both use a compact code that’s hard to read unless you’ve been trained in it.
BravoEcho returns each report decoded into separate fields such as wind, visibility, cloud and flight category, and includes the original text.
So your app can show pilots what they need, or let an AI model reason about weather minima, without you having to write a parser.
